Flight Centre - One of
the UK's best places
to work

Flight Centre named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™

For the eighth year running, Flight Centre, the world’s number one travel agent to Australia, has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in the largest survey of workplace cultures and people practices,.

Climbing six places from 2017, Flight Centre was placed at 18th in the rankings published by Great Place to Work®. Organisations are evaluated according to their size and with 1,926 staff members across 80 store locations across the UK, Flight Centre was grouped in the large organisation category (companies with 500+ employees).

Recent HR implementations such as a fully accredited apprenticeship programme for leisure travel consultants, an enhanced parental leave policy and a new management training programme are just some of the reasons Flight Centre was recognised in this year's ranking, along with 127 other UK organisations. As a result of these initiatives, Flight Centre is also seeing a 10-year high in its staff retention.

The survey is made up of two main elements which includes the opinion of employees (the Trust Index©), which represents 2/3rds of the final score, and the Culture Audit©, a business-driven questionnaire. All of this information is compiled by Great Place to Work® so that their experts can understand and evaluate the organisation's HR and leadership practices, policies and culture.

Flight Centre’s Human Resources Director, Will Leonelli said: “”We’re delighted to have been recognised as one of the best places to work for the 8th consecutive year. This award is a testament to our business culture and our incredible employees who are passionate about finding customers the holiday they want, for the price they want. The company’s success comes down to its people and we will continue to put their development at the heart of our business.”
